Year 3, blog 8; Garden dead hedges
I built two circular dead hedges as refuges near the pond in garden at Cerney house last year. They have a 3 m diameter and are constructed of posts of hazel and Salix with other material used to fill out the walls. I filled them with leaves from the autumn initially last year and they have rotted down a treat.
Today is the first day that I’ve added more material as the leaves start to fall this year.
